DIGNITY IN A BOTTLE

Essence Noble begins with a joyful blend of bergamot, lemon, mandarin and galbanum. Heart notes evolve as herbal with nuances of lavender, sage and geranium. To end on a high note, oakmoss, patchouli, cedarwood and leather finish to draw a vintage chypre feel.

1972: in Europe, the late 1960s were an important sociological turning point. Women started wearing men’s pants and fragrances and joined the sexual revolution. Le Galion launched Eau Noble this year, which ended up being Paul Vacher last creation (he passed away in 1975). Now renamed Essence Noble, it is a sporty, citrus, chypre and leathery fragrance.

« Essence Noble is a typical "eau fraîche" from the 1970's, first created for men but soon borrowed by women. Its general aesthetics are classy and elegant, and compared to other fragrances of that style, this one is particularly leathery in the drydown. »
