Paul Vacher knew his stuff when it came to leather: in the early 1960s, Christian Dior commissioned him for a powerful and haughty women’s fragrance. The perfumer composed what would later become Diorling, a leathery chypre scent. Earlier in his career, he also co-created Lanvin’s Scandal, a dark leathery scent. As a tribute to these landmarks of the 20th century, Le Galion has created Cuir, robustly elegant, between an emancipated femininity and a demonstrative masculinity.
